I'm not a parent. I hope to be one day, but right now, I'm not. This means that I have no authority to speak.

 

Like I would let that stop me.

 

I have, for my entire life, and some time before that, had parents. Perfect parents? Perhaps not, but pretty damned good ones, definitely. I love my parents, and they love me (so far as I'm aware). This, some will say, again means that I have no authority to speak. These people will find any excuse as to why what I say should be ignored. Perhaps they are right, but what I am about to say is not new. When one person says something that goes against your opinion, perhaps they are a crank. If two people say it, the crank has a friend. But this has been said so many times, by so many people that you should start to think that there might actually be a point to it.

Yes, that's right. The Planet exploded .

 

Don't believe me? Well then, look here. Ok, so it may be a little alarmist, but in a sense it's true.

 

I just love the ability to tell people that The Planet exploded, and that America is trying to fix it. It gives me a very Hollywood -esqu glow.

 

Seriously, though. It's made for an interesting day at work. While we only had two active servers left in that data centre, hosting a total of about 10 sites, it seems that our primary and secondary DNS for all our servers with The Planet were also in that data centre. Bum. If they were in different centres, we may have lost those 10 sites for a while, but as it is, we've got approx 300 sites which aren't down, as such, but are incommunicado with the majority of the outside world because their domain names no longer point to anything useful.

 

Anyway, it'll (hopefully) be fixed by tomorrow morn' and I'm sure we'll be questioning how the DNS was set up.

 

Back to telling people of the impending doom that is exploding transformers. 

I've been using Firefox 3 (Beta 5) for a couple of days now (thanks, to my hardy heron). I must say, however, that from a usability stand point, I'm less than impressed.

 

Part of this is due to the forced installation with Hardy, but part is due to it's incompatability with old extentions.

Now I know that there are plenty among you who aren't believers. Plenty you don't think that I'll ever put anything new on here. That think that this site is stagnant and useless.

 

Well, until now it was!

 

Anyway, I've got some time off work now, so I may possibly start adding some more content or something (because fuck knows that I have nothing better to do...)

 

I still have no idea how good or consistent or anything the content will be, but all I can say is that it may have better spelling than previous efforts.

 

Maybe.
