This animation was done based on a friend from uni's webcomic (now dead), which was based on an idea that I kinda gave him... kinda... I'll explain more after the animation. Sadly I never got to put sound in it, which I think kinda sucks, but oh well.

I've long since lost touch with the guy who drew the comic, but it's no big deal. I was considering for a while making a series out of the cartoon, but I couldn't really be bothered

Ok, so the story behind this toon went something like this. At the time, the guy worked at EB games. This is way back in 2004, in the leadup to Halo 2 and Half Life 2 being released. He was bitching one day that the ammount of people who were convinced that they had been released was astonishing. These people would come into EB and demand the games off them, like they were hoarding copies out back, just to be arseholes.

Anyway, I suggested that he should get a couple of sticks, and write "Halo 2" and "Half-life 2" on them. That way, when people demanded the games, he could lay some smack-down on them, and just tell the cops "Well they asked for Half-Life 2, and you see my stick here? It's called Half-Life 2. How was i meant to know the difference?".

Anyway, he made a comic of this, and shortly afterwards, I decided to animate it. As I say, the comic is long since dead, and never even managed to hit 100 strips. I don't think that it even made it to 70. Oh well... it was funny, though.
